Kaprun (attempt 2)

The conditions were absolutely perfect at Kitzsteinhorn today. The recent snow has improved the whole of the Zell area, but due to it's altitude, the glacier has had the best of it. The pistes were beautifully prepared, and it was definitely a day for high speed carving.

Lack of sleep led me to finish slightly early (I could easily have fallen asleep in the sun...it's surprising how comfy your skis can be as a bed!), and it was really hot down in Zell. Spring has definitely arrived...2 days after heavy snowfall in the town. We've watched the lake go from completely frozen at the start of the week, to having boats out on it today.

Despite my best efforts with suncream, I'm fairly high on the oompa lumpa scale. I've definitely caught the sun today...you could fry an egg on my forehead!!
