Small World

Met up with Susan, Jeanette and Mark this morning, who are here with Oak Hall. As we were eating lunch, someone walked past who I recognised, but couldn't place (turned out to be Lisa who I used to play football with). The next minute, up walked Val (who I'd bumped into in Wengen a few weeks ago!!). It turns out that there are several from St Toms on the trip, and a big group from Fulwood. Sheffield rules!!

I didn't ski much last time I was in Saas, due to being horribly ill. However, I'm not sure I missed too much! The ski area is dominated by T-bars (the downside of glacier skiing), and is fairly limited. It's certainly not somewhere I would choose to ski, but it does have the advantage of altitude. It also has one of three Swiss revolving restaurants (the other two being at Leysin and Murren).
